Belarus, China condemn sanctions as way to interfere in domestic affairs of states

MINSK, 22 August (BelTA) – Belarus and China have condemned sanctions as a method of interfering in domestic affairs of states, BelTA learned from the joint communique that the governments of Belarus and China signed in Minsk on 22 August. The document was signed by Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko and Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China Li Qiang.

The communique determines key avenues of cooperation between the two countries: an increase in and optimization of trade, manufacturing cooperation (particularly in pharmaceutics, energy industry, trade in intermediate goods), development of information and communication technologies, technical aid, economic aid, and credit aid, R&D cooperation, cooperation in agriculture, in digital commerce, finance, culture, education, and sport.

The document also condemns the unilateral use of coercive measures as a method of interfering in domestic affairs of states. The document expresses commitment to ensuring international security and global development, including through cooperation in defense, justice, law enforcement, and by means of building up interaction within the framework of the United Nations Organization, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, and BRICS. The communique insists that results of World War Two are unshakeable.
