Belarus, Azerbaijan to continue supporting each other in international organizations

MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik held talks with Minister of Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov of Azerbaijan who came to Minsk for a meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

During the talks Belarus and Azerbaijan reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation. The ministers expressed confidence that the roadmap signed in February 2024 will give a new impetus to the development of bilateral relations across all avenues and will contribute to the substantive expansion and significant intensification of cooperation between the two countries. The document provides for more than 60 specific measures to boost economic cooperation, to increase mutual trade in goods and services.


The parties agreed to continue supporting each other within the framework of international organizations. Both countries support the principle of respect for the sovereign path of development of a state and stand against interference in internal affairs and use of illegal methods of pressure in international relations.
