MINSK, 1 May (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Türkiye Anatoly Glaz has presented his credentials to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of Türkiye, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The ceremony was followed by a private meeting with the president of Türkiye, during which Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized the friendly and trusting relations with the Belarusian head of state and conveyed his best wishes to Aleksandr Lukashenko.
The parties discussed all key issues on the interstate and global agendas, including bilateral cooperation mechanisms, engagements at various levels, and the situation in the region. The parties praised the constructive and trusting nature of the Belarusian-Turkish relations and the intensive and productive development of bilateral trade and economic cooperation.

Despite the current turbulent times, the parties emphasized that the interaction between Belarus and Türkiye was sustainable in various areas, including the humanitarian, scientific and technical sectors.
The parties also discussed the peacekeeping steps and initiatives of the two states, as well as possible joint efforts in this context.
At the end of the meeting, Recep Tayyip Erdogan wished Anatoly Glaz every success in his diplomatic mission for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
