VERONA, 1 November (BelTA) - Western politicians are not independent when making decisions on sanctions. They do the bidding of the Atlantic lobby which seeks to eliminate competitors, President of the Conoscere Eurasia Association; Chairman of the Board of Directors at Banca Intesa, Professor Antonio Fallico said in an interview with BelTA.
"The neoliberal Western system has created such a structure of society that we call post-democratic," Antonio Fallico said. “In other words, it is a formal democracy, and when the crisis has arrived, this whole system has fallen hostage to lobbying groups. In simpler terms, we can call it the Atlantic lobby."
The professor believes that Western politicians do the bidding of lobbyists. "On the surface it may seem that it is the politicians who set the rules of the game," he said. “But in fact, these are different groups in the Atlantic segment who craft such decisions and then put politicians in a position where they are forced to make these decisions. But, in fact, they are aimed at eliminating competition. There is no true politics. Because politics is not only about understanding the sentiments of your own people, but also showing them the ways to coexist with other peoples and to find a place for themselves in the world."
"Therefore, it is these lobbying groups, entrenched in the Atlantic system, that are the source of those sanctions with which they want to weaken China, Russia, and now Belarus," Antonio Fallico noted.
