Andreichenko: MPs need to promptly respond to unfriendly acts against Belarus

MINSK, 29 November (BelTA) - MPs need to respond promptly to all unfriendly acts against the country, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said at a joint meeting of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic in the Oval Hall of the Government on 29 November as he commented on the situation on the Belarusian-Polish border, BelTA has learned.

“Belarus opposes any escalation of the conflict, responsibly fulfilling its international obligations. We provide refugees with shelter, food and medical care, and help those who want to return home. In return we get another package of sanctions from the West,” said Vladimir Andreichenko.

The speaker stressed that such aggressive actions not only destabilize the situation in the center of Europe, but also pose a direct threat to the entire CSTO region. “Therefore, MPs need to constantly monitor the situation on the border, inform the international community about the true situation and respond promptly to all unfriendly acts against Belarus,” he added.
