MOSCOW, 28 March (BelTA) – On 27 March Belarus’ Ambassador to Russia Dmitry Krutoi met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Russian Federation and concurrently to the Republic of Belarus Abdulrahman Bin Suleiman Al Ahmed in Moscow, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.
The parties took stock of cooperation in politics, trade and economy, reviewed the development of the legal framework of cooperation, and interaction within international organizations. “Dmitry Krutoi emphasized the importance of the upcoming meeting of the Belarus-Saudi Arabia intergovernmental committee that might cover the entire agenda of the bilateral relations. According to the ambassador of Belarus, this event will give a significant impetus to trade and economic interaction between Belarus and Saudi Arabia. The Belarusian diplomat highlighted the important role of exhibitions in promoting trade and economic cooperation. In this regard, he invited the Saudi side to participate in the Belagro agricultural expo, the TIBO IT forum, and the Belarusian Industrial and Innovation Forum,” the press service said.
“Abdulrahman Bin Suleiman Al Ahmed agreed that participation in exhibitions can give a boost to bilateral trade, and assured that all invitations received from the Belarusian side will be sent to the respective authorities of Saudi Arabia,” the diplomatic mission added.
