MOSCOW, 17 October (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Aleksandr Rogozhnik met with Ambassador of Egypt to Russia with concurrent accreditation to Belarus Nazeh el Nagari, the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission told BelTA.
The ambassadors discussed matters concerning Belarus-Egypt interaction in politics, economy, and humanitarian affairs. The organization of visits and meetings at various levels was mentioned. The ambassadors touched upon interaction between the two countries within the framework of international organizations and associations as well as the situation in the Eastern Europe region.
The Egyptian ambassador also expressed interest in interaction with Belarus in the sphere of tourism. In his opinion, the development of direct air service between Belarus and Egypt would contribute to an increase in tourist traffic and to the development of humanitarian ties between the nations.
