MINSK, 2 April (BelTA) - The Union State of Belarus and Russia is evolving at a rapid pace, Russian Ambassador to Belarus Boris Gryzlov said ahead of a concert to mark the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia on 2 April, BelTA has learned.
“The Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia is a great holiday. Our peoples are really looking forward to it. They have already got used to this holiday. The fact that the Union State is evolving at a very rapid pace is an important component of this holiday,” Boris Gryzlov said.



“28 Union State programs were implemented. Their implementation completed in 2023. In 2024- 2026, we are working on 310 measures, 310 steps, with about 100 of which already implemented. We are ahead of this schedule as well,” the ambassador stressed.
According to Boris Gryzlov, the embassy has organized a number of events to mark the Day of Unity of the Peoples of Belarus and Russia: “An international tennis tournament for the Embassy Cup will take place on 5-6 April. 16 pairs will feature prominent figures of culture, art, astronauts, and professional athletes.
The ambassador also mentioned the ongoing Days of Penza Oblast in Belarus. “They are held in Minsk, and will also take place in Mogilev and Brest. The program is interesting and eventful. We will be celebrating this great holiday together,” he added.
