Ambassador praises Kazakhstan-Belarus cooperation

MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) - Kazakhstan and Belarus are developing bilateral relations across the whole range of interaction activities, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus Timur Zhaksylykov said as he met with Chairwoman of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova on 27 February, BelTA has learned.

“Kazakhstan and Belarus are strategic allies and partners. It is a great honor and a huge responsibility for me to represent Kazakhstan as an ambassador to friendly Belarus,” the ambassador said. “Kazakhstan and Belarus are successfully developing as countries and also developing bilateral relations across the entire spectrum of interaction. In fact, there are no areas of cooperation in which we do not have close ties and relations.”

The high level of cooperation achieved in recent years is a result of the political will and consistent course pursued by the leaders of our countries, Timur Zhaksylykov said. “Kazakhstan was happy to learn the results of the presidential election in Belarus on 26 January. They let us count on further confident development of our strategic cooperation and partnership. The election campaign and its results showed that the presidential election was held at the highest organizational level and demonstrated strong support for President Aleksandr Lukashenko’s course aimed at improving the living standards of the people, ensuring social accord, stability, strengthening the sovereignty of the country and establishing peace in the region. The president of Kazakhstan was one of the first to call and congratulate Aleksandr Lukashenko on his re-election. “Kazakhstan is always happy about the successes of brotherly Belarus.”

“We enjoy close interaction at all levels in the political sector. We have a huge range of interaction on the platforms of international organizations,” the ambassador added.
