MINSK, 14 March (BelTA) - Uzbeks and Belarusians are united by spiritual closeness, we are friends and reliable partners, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Belarus Rakhmatulla Nazarov said as he met with Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Igor Sergeyenko on 14 March, BelTA has learned.
“Our countries enjoy very warm, friendly, good-neighborly relations. Uzbeks and Belarusians are united by spiritual closeness, careful attitude to traditional values, history and culture. We are one nation in fact. Benevolence, hospitality and, most importantly, diligence are the characteristic features of both you and us,” the ambassador said.
Belarus is a close friend and reliable partner for Uzbekistan, Rakhmatulla Nazarov said. “At all the platforms and in multilateral formats, we always maintain very good and close relations,” he emphasized.
According to the ambassador, cooperation between Belarus and Uzbekistan covers almost all areas. “The political dialogue between our countries is getting stronger every year. All this comes thanks to very close, friendly, good contacts between our leaders. This is their merit. The president of Uzbekistan has great respect for Aleksandr Grigoriyevich [Lukashenko]. He always emphasizes his enormous contribution to stability and social and economic development of the country. Indeed, this has been repeatedly emphasized during our numerous meetings with the president,” he said.
