MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) – International organizations have no complaints with Belarus regarding the migrant crisis on the border, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva Yury Ambrazevich told reporters, BelTA has learned.
The Belarusian diplomat informed that he had held a number of meetings in international organizations, and several more contacts are planned for the near future. “The leadership of the secretariat of international organizations does not accuse Belarus of violating any norms of international law and our national legislation,” Yury Ambrazevich said.
The heads of the Belarusian offices of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees and the International Organization for Migration visited the Belarusian-Polish border. They studied the conditions in which the refugees are living, and how humanitarian aid is delivered. “As far as I know, these offices cooperate with the Belarus Red Cross and help finance humanitarian aid for refugees. Thus, at the moment our country is making the most of the capacities of international organizations based in Geneva,” the permanent representative of Belarus emphasized.
