Ambassador hails greater Belarus-China interregional cooperation

MINSK, 24 September (BelTA) – Belarus-China interregional ties have intensified, outgoing Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Cui Qiming told BelTA following his meeting with Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko on 24 September.

“The cooperation between regions of the two countries has notably intensified and the long-standing friendship has become even stronger,” Ambassador Cui Qiming noted. “All six Belarusian regions and the city of Minsk have established twinning relations with Chinese provinces and cities,” he added.

The China-Belarus visa-waiver has also facilitated the exchange between the two countries, the ambassador noted.

China and Belarus closely cooperate in international affairs, fully support each other in matters related to national interests, and have become true ‘iron brothers', Ambassador Cui Qiming stressed. “This reflects the high level and special nature of the Chinese-Belarusian relations,” he added.
