MINSK, 3 September (BelTA) – Parliamentary cooperation between Belarus and China is developing very successfully, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of Belarus Xie Xiaoyong told the media following a meeting with Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova as the ambassador is completing his diplomatic mission, BelTA has learned.
“Within four years all spheres of China-Belarus relations got a substantial boost. Our parliamentary cooperation is also very successful. This allows us to expand inter-parliamentary and inter-regional cooperation and contacts between the youth,” the ambassador said. “In a word, the inter-parliamentary cooperation is gaining momentum on the back of excellent relations between the two countries.”

According to him, an important milestone for China-Belarus cooperation was an official visit of Belarus' parliamentary delegation led by Natalya Kochanova to China in May this year. It resulted in numerous inter-parliamentary cooperation agreements. The visit can be called very successful. It will provide a great impetus to the development of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
