MINSK, 12 February (BelTA) – Pakistan and Belarus maintain close cooperation in various fields, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan, who attended the 6th Belarusian People's Congress as a guest, told BelTA.
“Pakistan views Belarus as an important partner,” Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan said. “Our countries signed 77 agreements and memorandums of understanding. More documents are in the works,” he added.
The pandemic has drastically changed ways of interaction in the world, including international cooperation, Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan pointed out. He believes that it is important to preserve the progress of previous years while adjusting to the current situation. Big Pakistani business groups are in talks with Minsk Tractor Works over a joint production project in Pakistan, the ambassador noted.
Ambassador Sajjad Haider Khan expressed confidence that Belarus-Pakistan cooperation will expand in line with the countries' plans.
