MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – Belarus always follows a peace-loving policy and is interested in the reestablishment of peace in Ukraine as soon as possible. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Mongolia Dmitry Gorelik made the statement in an interview with the Mongolian news portal GOGO, BelTA has learned.
Dmitry Gorelik said: “Belarus always follows a peace-loving policy, this is why we would like peace to come as soon as possible. From Russia's point of view the operation is being carried out in order to reach certain goals. This is why when, where, and how the sides can come to terms depends on Russia and Ukraine.”
According to Dmitry Gorelik, the world community should also participate in the peace process. In addition to Russia and Belarus Ukraine borders on other European countries, which cannot be brushed aside. “As for results of the meeting of the Russian delegation and the Ukrainian one, there is certainly progress. According to the sides, even variants were suggested for organizing a meeting of the two heads of state. There is hope that the delegations will meet again in near future,” he said.
