MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) - Azerbaijan will be strengthening cooperation with Belarus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Azerbaijan to Belarus Maharram Abish oghlu Aliyev told BelTA after presenting his credentials to Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko at the Palace of Independence in Minsk on 15 February.

“Azerbaijan has been friends with Belarus for many years, including at the state level,” the head of the diplomatic mission said. “I think it will continue to be so. We have a lot of issues in bilateral cooperation that are important for both countries.”

“The ambassador’s most important task is to unite mutual efforts, help develop interaction between the two states,” Maharram Abish oghlu Aliyev emphasized.
