MINSK, 3 October (BelTA) – Azerbaijani Prime Minister Ali Asadov paid a visit to Azerbaijan’s embassy in Belarus on 3 October to address the diplomats and outline key tasks and areas in the development of bilateral relations, BelTA has learned.
Counselor of Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Belarus Mahir Gajiyev said that Ali Asadov outlined the level of relations between the two countries at the meeting. “Today, thanks to the leaders of our states, the relations between Azerbaijan and Belarus are at the highest level. We have a primary task to develop economic relations. Today, this task is being successfully implemented. Plans are in place to sign a number of documents that also cover the economic sector. We hope that our relations will move only forward in the future,” he emphasized.
As part of his official visit to Belarus, Ali Asadov paid a visit to the embassy and addressed the Azerbaijani delegation consisting of representatives of various specialized departments, and diplomats. A total of 14 people arrived in Belarus as part of the Azerbaijani delegation.

According to Mahir Gadjiev, promising areas for developing cooperation between Belarus and Azerbaijan are agriculture and the opening of production facilities in various sectors. “The program of the visit is extensive and includes consideration of joint production of machinery, elevators, and fertilizers,” the counselor said. “We believe that our relations are developing very successfully today.”
