MINSK, 12 April (BelTA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Sergei Aleinik has met with CIS Secretary General Sergei Lebedev in the run-up to the CIS Foreign Ministers Council meeting, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The meeting focused on preparations for the CIS Foreign Ministers Council meeting, the agenda of the meeting, and other organizational aspects of the upcoming event.
According to Sergei Aleinik, the Republic of Belarus assigns high priority to cooperation with the CIS member states and to efforts to strengthen the CIS institutional foundations and to expand interaction between the member states, primarily in economy, under the auspices of the CIS Executive Committee.
