Aleinik: Belarus appreciates India's support in international arena

MINSK, 14 April (BelTA) – Belarus appreciates India's unwavering support in the international arena, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Aleinik said as he spoke at a festive event to mark the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of India and the Republic of Belarus on 13 April, BelTA has learned.

Sergei Aleinik welcomed the successful development of bilateral cooperation in politics: “The leadership of Belarus and India maintain regular political contacts. The president of Belarus has made three state visits to India and has met with the prime minister of India several times on the sidelines of various international events.”

“Belarus is grateful to India for the unwavering support in the international arena and does the same for India whenever Indian friends ask for it,” the first deputy foreign minister added.

The Republic of Belarus and the Republic of India are marking the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. On this occasion, the Embassy of the Republic of India in Minsk organized a concert “Journey through India and Belarus” at the Palace of Culture of Trade Unions. The event was attended by heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations, representatives of various ministries, government agencies, educational institutions, and the Indian diaspora.
