Address of Belarusian senators, MPs sent to MFA to be forwarded to UN, other organizations

MINSK, 14 June (BelTA) - MPs of all levels and members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly have sent their address to the international community in connection with the situation around Belarus and the signature sheets to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for it to forward it through diplomatic channels to the UN and other international organizations, Chairman of the Council of the Republic's Standing Committee on Legislation and Nation Building Sergei Sivets told the media in Minsk on 14 June, BelTA has learned.

“You know that the MPs of all levels and members of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly have adotped the address to the international community in connection with the situation around Belarus. The situation is primarily connected with the unprecedented political, information and sanctions pressure on our country on the part of the collective West. We have put together the signature sheets of the authentic signatures of all deputies and members of the Council of the Republic, sent it to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which in turn will froward them to international and intergovernmental organizations. We very much hope that we will receive an appropriate reaction to this address soon," Sergei Sivets said.

The MPs expect that this address will be given the status of an official document of the United Nations.
