One of Belarus’ oldest cities Vitebsk has turned 1050 years old. Vitebsk
emerged at the confluence of two rivers - the Western Dvina that
discharges into the Baltic Sea, and Vitba that gave its name to the
city. Today, Vitebsk is one of industrial hubs of the country, a city
with developed industry, science and culture.
