In Vitebsk, the celebrations for the 81st anniversary of the Great Victory kicked off with a procession along Lenin Street. Veterans, regional and city officials, labor collectives, public associations and young people marched to the memorial complex at Victory Square, which honors the liberators, partisans and underground fighters of Vitebsk Oblast. Participants then observed a nationwide moment of silence, followed by a flower-laying ceremony.
