The International Sambo Tournament for the prizes of the President of the Republic of Belarus was held at the Minsk Palace of Sports. The first competition day featured 11 medal events - four each in men’s and women’s sport sambo, and three in combat sambo. The Belarusian team finished the day with 6 gold, 2 silver, and 12 bronze medals. On the second day athletes competed for top honors in ten weight categories, with the hosts adding 19 more medals to their tally (7 gold, 4 silver, 8 bronze). Over the two days, Belarusian sambo wrestlers accumulated a total of 39 medals: 13 gold, 6 silver, and 20 bronze.
