Vitebsk is celebrating the Independence Day of the Republic of Belarus and the 80th anniversary of the liberation from the Nazi invaders in the Great Patriotic War. The festivities began with a flower ceremony at the memorial complex in honor of Soviet soldiers, partisans and underground movement fighters of Vitebsk Oblast and continued with a festive procession.
