The first family festival Together marking Family Day kicked off in Volozhin District, Belarus on 17 May. The opening ceremony was attended by Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova, Communications and Informatization Minister Konstantin Shulgan, Chairperson of the Belarusian Union of Women Olga Shpilevskaya. The festival is aimed at popularizing traditional family values, strengthening the institution of family and the bond between generations. The festival participants are families with an active civic position from all regions of Belarus.
