TV BRICS organises special telethon for G20 Summit in Brazil




 

MOSCOW, 14 November (BelTA - TV BRICS) - During the G20 Summit to be held in Brazil on 18-19 November 2024, TV BRICS International Media Network is planning special programming for the G20 Summit. The broadcasting grid will be filled with newscasts, programmes and documentaries from the G20, BRICS and ASEAN countries.

Ksenia Komissarova, Editor-in-Chief of TV BRICS, said that a film crew of the international media network will be working in Rio de Janeiro to provide high-quality coverage of the G20 Summit. In addition to live information from the scene, the news specials will be supplemented with commentaries by experts from different countries.

On 18-19 November, the best films and programmes of TV BRICS partners from Russia, Argentina, Brazil, India, Indonesia, China, South Africa will be aired. For example, viewers will be able to see interesting projects about Chinese cuisine, scientific achievements of Russia, national traditions of India and agriculture in Brazil. The programme also includes documentaries "Heritage" about the history of the Cavalcade in the Brazilian city of Brumal, "Trombonists" about an international music festival in Argentina, "Heilongjiang: sustainable economic development zone" about a pilot free trade zone in China. The BRICSinterview TV project will be attended by Mzuvukile Jeff Maqetuka, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of South Africa to the Russian Federation, Rodrigo Baena Soares, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil to the Russian Federation, Douw Vermaak, Counsellor at the Political section of the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa in the Russian Federation, and Jiao Jian, Chairman of the China Coal Importers Association.

The G20 Summit will also receive comprehensive information support on the media network's portal. In October 2024, the TV BRICS portal launched the BRICS & G20 media project in all six language versions, featuring government, public and academic figures, journalists and experts from Brazil, Russia, India, China, South Africa, Iran, and Ethiopia.
