ISTANBUL, 19 August (BelTA - Anadolu) - Türkiye recorded the hottest
July in the last 53 years, the country's environment, urbanization and
climate change minister said.
Murat Kurum said on X that the highest temperature of 45.9 C (114.62 F) was detected in the Cizre district of the southeastern Sirnak province, and the lowest temperature of 5.2 C (41.36 F) was detected in the eastern Erzurum province.
Stressing that the temperatures are expected to rise starting from Monday, Kurum called on citizens to be more cautious.
