Iran's Shahsavari finishes runner-up in ISG table tennis competitions

TEHRAN, 9 August (BelTA - IRNA). - Iran's table tennis player Neda Shahsavari finished runner-up in women's individual competitions of the Islamic Solidarity Games (ISG) in Turkey.

Shahsavari lost to her Turkish rival 2-4, winning a silver.

She qualified for the final competitions after beating competitors from Benin, Bangladesh and Turkey.

Two Iranian male table tennis players qualified for the final competitions of the Islamic Solidarity Games as well.

Nima Alamian defeated his Kazakh rival 4-1.

Amir Hossein Hodaie beat his rival from Saudi Arabia 4-1 too.

The Islamic Solidarity Games kicked off in the Turkish city of Konya on August 7 and will continue until August 11.
