TEHRAN, 26 August (BelTA - IRNA) - Iranian lifeguard athlete Hamid
Qudsinejad has made history by securing the first-ever medal for Iran in
the 100m event at the Surf Life Saving Queensland Championships in
Australia.
On the opening day of the championships in Gold Coast, eastern Australia, Qudsinejad clocked a time of 1:02:07 in the 100-meter manikin toes with a tube and fin event, competing in the 40-44 age category. His performance earned him a bronze medal.
The championships commenced today, with Iranian representatives set to compete in both the women’s and men’s divisions.
