LYON, 16 September (BelTA - Emirates News Agency) - The ACTVET team has
won 10 medals at the WorldSkills Lyon 2024, which took place in Lyon,
France, achieving first place in the Middle East and Africa and ninth
place globally at the event.
The team competed with more than 1,300 participants from 66 countries at the world’s largest and most important competition for skills.
Participating at the 47th WorldSkills event, the ACTVET team won one silver and one bronze medal, in addition to eight Medallions for Excellence, highlighting the level of vocational and technical skills of Emirati youth in the UAE.
The accolades were awarded for skills including health and social care, mechanical engineering drawing, aircraft maintenance, automotive technology, and autonomous robotics, and reflected the UAE’s commitment to developing the skills of youth.
