ABU DHABI, 7 August (BelTA - Emirates News Agency) - The UAE Muay Thai
and Kickboxing Federation has announced that the UAE Muay Thai Open
Championship, scheduled for 9th to 11th August at Space 42 Arena in Al
Raha Beach, will feature 551 fighters from 47 national clubs.
The championship will feature male and female fighters aged 8 to 23 competing in 12 weight categories.
The event kicks off with weight-ins and medical checks on Thursday, followed by preliminary rounds starting at 10 am on 9th August.
Ali Khouri, Board Member of the UAE Muay Thai and Kickboxing Federation, stated, “Our ongoing commitment to organising top-tier programmes and championships during the summer for our youth continues to drive us forward. Building on the recent successes of the UAE Kickboxing Championship, we are delighted to host the UAE Muay Thai Open Championship.”
