On 28 June Vitebsk hosted festive events to celebrate the 1051th anniversary of the founding of the city. The city arranged numerous venues for concerts, workshops, exhibitions and entertainment events. Flowers were laid to the memorial sign installed at the place of execution of Soviet patriots during the Great Patriotic War.
