Silver clouds are formed at an altitude of 80km - on the border with space. They are visible in June and July only at places lying between latitudes of about 45° to 70° north latitude. These clouds are composed of tiny ice crystals that form on particles of meteoric dust. On the night of 3 July, silvery clouds could be seen in the sky over Grodno and Minsk.
