An ecotourism center was opened in Gomel District with support from the Sport and Tourism Department of the Gomel Oblast Executive Committee. The center features a zoo which is home to several dozens of animals. The center cooperates with the Department of Archeology and Protection of Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Gomel Palace and Park Ensemble of the Rumyantsevs and Paskeviches. The establishments are working on a project on raising environmental awareness among school students.
