MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) – A nationwide class for students of forms 1 to 11 took place all over Belarus on 12 January. The class was titled as “Ola – sister of Khatyn”. During the event students were informed about the genocide of the Belarusian people and the tragedies that happened in the villages of Ola and Khatyn during World War Two. This year will mark the 80th anniversary since 1,758 people, including 950 children, were shot in the small village of Ola.
