Mayak Hill is located on the southern shore of Snudy Lake in Braslav District. The word ‘mayak' is translated as a lighthouse. The name was derived from a triangulation tower built on top of the hill at the beginning of the last century. This tower was taken for a lighthouse by local residents. Today, you can see a gazebo on the place where the tower once stood. This gazebo overlooks Snudy Lake and nearby Strusto Lake.
