Komsomol and Youth Movement Museum reopens in Minsk

On 21 September, the National House of Youth hosted a ceremony to open the renovated Museum of the History of Komsomol and Youth Movement. The event was timed to the centenary of Belarus' All-Union Leninist Young Communist League (Komsomol) and featured past and present leaders of the youth movement.

The holdings of the museum of the BRSM Youth Union boast more than 20,000 documents, photos and items, including hundreds of unique exhibits. The most valuable ones include the Order of the Red Banner and the Order of Lenin bestowed upon Belarus' Komsomol, cosmonaut Pyotr Klimuk's spacesuit, and the saber presented to the Central Committee of Komsomol by Soviet military commander Ivan Bagramyan.
