The Khatyn Memorial was built in 1969 as a tribute to the memory of the residents of the village of Khatyn and other Belarusian villages destroyed by the Nazis during the Great Patriotic War. The memorial is located 54km away from Minsk, 5km away from the Minsk-Vitebsk motorway. It is on the list of historical and cultural heritage of Belarus.
