
VITEBSK, 23 March (BelTA) - The national relic - Cross of Saint Venerable Euphrosyne of Polotsk - has arrived at Holy Dormition Cathedral in Vitebsk.
The relic is a full-size copy of the lost original cross made by Lazar Bogsha in 1161. The modern cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk was made by Brest jeweler-enameler Nikolai Kuzmich in 1997. The relic is housed in Convent the Savior and St Euphrosyne in Polotsk.
On the day of the arrival of the Cross of Euphrosyne of Polotsk in Vitebsk, parishioners of all ages arrived. Everyone was able to pray to the shrine and ask the intercessor of the Belarusian land for protection and help in solving important issues.
