Conservation efforts at National Art Museum of Belarus
MINSK, 29 September (BelTA) - The National Art Museum has a department of scientific & restoration workshops. Specialists have the hihest, first and second-class qualifications in restoration of easel oil and tempera painting, polychrome sculpture, textiles, porcelain, leather, frames, graphics.
This year, the National Art Museum has a new restoration unit. The restoration work area increased from 810 m2 to 1,398 m2. Four workshops specialize in restoration of oil painting and four – in ancient Belarusian, decorative and applied arts. There are workshops for the restoration of objects made of fabric, metal, wood, porcelain and ceramics.
