MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) - The winning image of the annual photography competition of close-up, macro and micro shots CUPOTY (Close-up Photographer of the Year) has been announced. The winner is Professor of Marine Molecular Ecology Galice Hoarau, who captured the night walk of an eel larva. His image was chosen from among more than 6,000 entries from 52 countries. The Guardian newspaper has compiled a selection of the best pictures.
