Cities of the World. Tokyo
Tokyo is one of the largest and most developed megacities in the world with a large population density. This year, Japan's capital will host the Olympics. The 32nd Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo will be held from 23 July to 8 August. About 12,500 athletes from more than 200 countries will take part in the event. There will be a record 339 medal events held across 33 sports.
