Belarusian Jews celebrate Purim
Purim is one of the main Jewish holidays. This year its celebrations started at sunset on 9 March and will wrap up at sunset on 25 February. The two main traditions are giving charity to the poor and sending food parcels to friends and family members. Grodno Choral Synagogue is one of the oldest synagogues in Europe, included in the list of historical and cultural values of the Republic of Belarus and is an important historical monument. The holiday is celebrated here today.
