MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) - BelGee Director General Gennady Svidersky explained BelTA why the BelGee X50 has become the most successful model in the Belarusian automotive brand's lineup.
In the Russian Federation, as well as in the Republic of Belarus, the BelGee X50 became the brand's best-selling model for the first 10 months of 2025, thanks to high demand from all customer categories - private individuals, legal entities, taxi services, and car-sharing companies. This success was made possible by a combination of its affordable price, modern design, reliability, and local production. According to Gennady Svidersky, all these factors together have generated sustained interest in the model among car enthusiasts.
The production of the X50 in Belarus benefits both Russian and Belarusian customers in terms of availability and quality. “Firstly, the plant utilizes an automated system for production and quality control, which ensures a consistently high standard and a low production cost for each vehicle. Secondly, thanks to cooperation within the Union State, we have managed to localize the production of a number of components, such as glass, tires, batteries, and electronic control units,” the director emphasized. This localization significantly simplifies servicing for BelGee X50 owners.
Regarding plans to increase production capacity, Gennady Svidersky noted that the first phase of modernization has already been completed, which involved updating the welding and painting workshops at the plant. “This has increased overall production efficiency and doubled our capacity to 120,000 vehicles per year. Future plans include a continued expansion of capacity. This entails the introduction of new technologies, optimization of production processes, and, if necessary, an increase in production sites, as well as ensuring the planned expansion of the model range,” he said.
The prospect for sales growth of BelGee in Russia in the coming years will be determined by market demand. “Our key task is to maintain world-class production standards and ensure product ownership value for every customer,” the director said.
In 2025, BelGee successfully introduced the new S50 and the updated X70 models to the market. A further expansion of the product line is planned for the future. “The X50 remains the flagship model and will serve as the base for implementing new technologies and solutions. I would also like to note that we are actively developing the production of passenger cars running on new types of energy. This is our strategic direction, which will allow BelGee to align with modern global trends and offer the market technologically advanced and eco-friendly solutions,” Gennady Svidersky said.
