Work in progress on Belarus infrastructure strategy till 2030

MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) – Belarus is mapping out the national infrastructure strategy for the period till 2030. The Interagency Infrastructure Coordination Council reviewed the matter at a session chaired by Belarus Economy Minister Dmitry Krutoi, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Economy Ministry.

The council discussed approaches to drawing up the strategy, its correlation with Belarus' main strategic documents, and its place in the national system of planning and forecasting. The council members also reviewed the status of implementation of the project to renovate the M10 motorway and concepts of public-private partnership (PPP) projects to build educational and sports facilities. Participants of the session also approved the report on the activities of the Interagency Infrastructure Coordination Council in 2018-2019.

The Interagency Infrastructure Coordination Council was established in order to implement a consistent state policy and to coordinate infrastructure development, including under PPP projects. The council includes representatives of government agencies, local authorities, and business.
