Winter rapeseed for grain harvested from 14.1% of area

MINSK, 9 July (BelTA) – Winter rapeseed for grain was harvested from 14.1% of the area, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.

Winter barley was harvested from the area of 184,000 hectares, or 69.9% of the harvested area (30.4% last year), and 638,100 tonnes were threshed (205,500 tonnes last year) with a yield of 34.7 c/ha.

Winter rapeseed for grain was harvested from 52,800 hectares or 14.1% of the harvested area (0.23% last year), and 112,300 tonnes were threshed (0,980 tonnes last year) with a yield of 21.3 c/ha.

Flax was pulled from 5,270 hectares (11.74%). Last year flax pulling did not get started at this time of the year.

Second grass was cut on the area of 533,000 hectares (50.5% of the target) and removed from the area of 471,600 hectares, which is 88.5% of the grass cut. After first-cutting, fertilizers were spread on the area of 281,800 hectares, or 20.1%.

Belarus harvested 9,551,500 tonnes of haylage (71.7%), 320,400 tonnes of hay (45.8%), and 234,700 tonnes of silage (1.14%). Some 29.6% of the grass feed was stocked.
