MINSK, 27 February (BelTA) - Belarus’ Industry Ministry maintained momentum in 2024, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich said at the meeting to review performance of the Industry Ministry in 2024, BelTA has learned.
Viktor Karankevich pointed out that the Industry Ministry did well in 2024. “The manufacturing sector saw steady production. In general, it is the merit of the leadership of the ministry and affiliated enterprises,” he stated.
Amid the growing influence of external risks, the ministry maintained momentum in 2024: the output and merchandise exports increased. “In 2024 the companies affiliated with the Industry Ministry reported growing net profit (up by 6.4 times) and profitability of sales (hit the target). Exports reached a new record high over the last ten years,” Viktor Karankevich emphasized.
The meeting of the Industry Ministry is set to take stock of performance in 2024 and discuss plans for 2025. The meeting is attended by representatives of enterprises affiliated with the Industry Ministry, as well as heads of other government agencies. The meeting is presided by Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich.
