MINSK, 12 June (BelTA) - Belarus and Cuba are ready to restart economic, trade and financial relations, Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas Ruiz said at the 11th meeting of the Belarusian-Cuban joint commission on trade and economic cooperation in Minsk on 12 June, BelTA has learned.
The deputy prime minister emphasized: “I am pleased to come to the conclusion of this meeting after the working exchanges between the members of both delegations. I believe that this meeting was an expression of the desire and determination of our governments to restart, deepen and diversify bilateral economic, trade, financial relations and partnership.”
“We cannot afford inertia and must transform our ties into stronger and mutually beneficial relations, taking into account our historical ties of friendship, brotherhood and solidarity,” the Cuban vice premier stressed.
The 11th meeting of the Belarusian-Cuban joint commission on trade and economic cooperation took place in Minsk on 10-12 June.
