MINSK, 20 May (BelTA) – Belarus and Magadan Oblast need to fully realize their cooperation potential, Belarus’ Deputy Prime Minister Igor Petrishenko said as he met with Magadan Oblast Governor Sergei Nosov, BelTA has learned.
“The potential of our cooperation is not utilized in full. We should make the most of this potential,” said Igor Petrishenko.
According to him, the most promising areas of cooperation with Magadan Oblast are manufacturing, supplies of mechanical engineering products, agricultural industry, housing and utilities (including processing of solid municipal waste, sewerage, water treatment), design and construction, humanitarian sphere, tourism, education. “I think that a long-awaited cooperation agreement will be signed during your landmark visit. Your delegation will also visit a number of Belarusian flagship enterprises that make products that Magadan Oblast is interested in,” added the deputy prime minister.

Sergei Nosov, in turn, pointed to the region’s interest in Belarusian heavy equipment for mining and agriculture. “Belarusian technology has earned well-deserved respect from Russian industrialists,” he emphasized.
