MINSK, 15 October (BelTA) - The Belarusian fuel and energy sector is successfully developing, providing the basis for other industries, Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich said at the opening of the Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum in Minsk on 15 October, BelTA has learned.
“The fuel and energy sector of Belarus is successfully developing, ensures national energy security, creates the basis for long-term plans for the development of economic sectors, contributes to the improvement of the level and quality of living conditions. I am confident that the forum program will make it possible to ensure the elaboration of new approaches to the development of the fuel and energy sector and further innovation and technological development. All these issues are given increased attention,” Viktor Karankevich said.
The forum is set to discuss digital transformation of the industry, development of production facilities and introduction of new import-substituting products, improvement of energy efficiency and reduction of environmental burden.
“The rich program of the forum arouses interest from representatives of government authorities, international and scientific community, experts and business partners who are interested in the efficient cooperation ties, development of new high-tech industries,” the deputy prime minister said.
The forum will feature the international exhibition “Energy. Ecology. Energy Saving. Electro” (Energy Expo), the Salon of Innovative Transport E-Trans, and the specialized sections Innovative Industrial Technologies, Atomexpo-Belarus, Technologies for Petrochemical Industry, ExpoLight, Water and Air Technologies, ExpoCity.
Over 200 enterprises are showcasing their products and services at the forum this year. Among them are the largest enterprises of the Belarusian energy sector and foreign companies interested in promoting their products on the Belarusian market.
The forum is organized by the Belarusian Energy Ministry together with stakeholders. Rosatom State Corporation is an official partner of the event.
The Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum, first held in 1995, is the country’s largest presentation event that attracts close attention of the leading Belarusian and world manufacturers of energy-efficient equipment, technologies and materials for energy, petrochemicals, housing and utilities, manufacturing sector and environmental activities in Belarus.
